The Friends of Carisbrooke Church was set up a few years ago to involve the whole community in helping to maintain this treasured historical building that forms a core part of the village.

The Friends aim to raise long term funds to enable conservation, repair, restoration and improvements to be made. Membership is open to all. Our members have a common aim of wanting to preserve our heritage for years to come. Some members are church goers, many are not. Many people see the building as an essential part of the beauty and architecture of Carisbrooke even though they may not be worshippers or visitors to the church.

Some join as Friends (£10 per year) whilst others come and support our fund raising and social events. We have several mainland supporters who, although they cannot physically join in on our activities, want to support us in looking after our Grade 1 listed building – a visual focal point, a visitor attraction, a place for public events, as well as a centuries old centre of worship.

The Friends of Carisbrooke Church are currently running “Carisbrooke Life Today” a photographic competition for people of all ages. Click here to find out more!
